Director Kishore Sarja passed away
Director Kishore Sarja, who is the elder brother of the top tamil actor Arjun died on Saturday, June 27, 2009 morning. His age was 50. He was suffered by cardiac arrest and admitted to Manipal Hospital in Bangalore. Finally, he is dead though physicians tried to protect him. He made his debut as director in the Kannada movie "Alimayya" starring his brother Arjun. Apart from this, he also directed Makkala Saakshi, Jodi, Bava Bamaidha, etc. His spouse name is Aparna and had a son named Sooraj. Michael Joseph Jackson, a famous pop singer a.k.a pop king passed away due to cardiac arrest. On June 26, 2009 early morning, 2.26 a.m. IST (Indian Time) he suffered heart attack and immediately was rushed to the UCLA Medical center in Los Angeles. But unfortunately, he attained the feet of the Lord on the way while rushed to hospital. He died in the age of 50 (August 29, 1958 - June 26, 2009). He is the legendary pop singer where more number of fans across the globe. He started his career at the age of 13 and did solo performance in 1971. His album "Thriller" released in the year 1982, still remains the best seller album of all times and has sold more than 26 million copies.

Winners of IIFA Awards 2009
The IIFA (International Indian Film Academy) Awards 2009 held at Macau, China. The biggest winner was Ashutosh Gowariker's historical romance "Jodhaa Akbar" swept the IIFA awards with a perfect 10 trophies - including best film, best actor and best director. Double Oscar winning A.R. Rahman was honoured with the composer of the decade award and won best music director Award for Jodhaa Akbar. Oliyum Oliyum is the new venture in the kollywood cinema industry which relates to the story of pre independence India. The shooting process of Oliyum Oliyum movie has almost completed and ready to hit on theatre screens soon. The movie is expected to be released on Friday, June 19, 2009. The film has been directed by Sakthi Selvam and produced jointly by two NRIs Raju Venkatram and Sivakumar. Sakthi Chellam earlier made a documentary featuring Kiran Bedi. This movie has been made with the backdrop of pre independence India. Prabha of Pirappu fame has done the lead role. Aswathi is pairing with him. Yani Dass has composed the music. After ten years actor Anand Babu (son of late comedy actor Nagesh) is acting in this film. Actor Mohan is doing the villain role. Noted social worker Palam Kalyanasundaram plays the role of constable Kandasamy. Another most important highlight of the movie is that a hearing and speech impaired girl also acts in this movie. She plays a normal girl, with the help of a dubbing artiste.

Maasilamani aka Maasi (Nakul), a reigning savior of slum-dwellers in his area jumps across the clouds, hits the baddies, brings justice to his people. Divya (Sunaina) hailing from a rich family backgrounds attracts him to a greater extent as he falls in love with her at first sight. Precisely, Divya happens to catch him in bad situations of hitting others. However, to win over the heart of this girl he has to first conquer the interests of likeliness from her family members. Will he strike his luck of joining hands with her forms crux of the story.
Nakul has matured a lot from his previous film. Well, the previous "Kadhalil Vizhundhen" had much alike showcasing him in serious characterization. But over here, he has lots to get on with comedy, action and emote to various situations. On the pars, Sunaina does a blissful task on dancing and got more scope to perform.
